Row, row, row your boat

To me a perfect world includes way more fanfics about Leonard "Bones" McCoy, he is an amazing person who definitely deserves more recognition. In all my brilliant wisdom I bought the four AOS books that were published, they read much like a fic with nice little McCoy appearances or mention. However, even the book that had him as a suspect play down his importance in favor of Jim's latest conquest. And no, I'm not going to complain about how much attention Jim pays to all the 'hot' females. It's not like everyone decided to turn such a complex character into a two dimensional womanizer.

But back to our dear doctor (and channeling my inner Karl Urban), it feels like the awesomeness of the character is downplayed constantly. Even his medical knowledge and experience were treated as less, and if there is anything McCoy deserves praise for it's knowing his way around a hospital.

*sighs*

Just give us BAMF McCoy in canon, be it books, comics, or on screen.
